Join Laura Janusik, also known as DrJListen, as she unpacks some of the researched benefits of silence and strategies to use it with confidence. Opportunities for practice in break out rooms will be provided. This presentation has something for both beginning and advanced coaches.

Who this session is for:

This session is for coaches at all levels of experience who want to:  

  • Learn about the research behind how silence and listening helps clients

  • Discover techniques that can be used to help your clients go deeper

  • Practice the techniques to become more comfortable with strategic silence

This session will be held via Zoom. Registrants will receive Zoom details in advance of the session.

Subject to approval from ICF Global, this session qualifies for 1.0 Core Development and 0.5 Resource Development CCEUs. *Registrants must be ICF members and attend the full session live to qualify for these credits. 

Speaker’s Profile:

Laura Janusik is a dynamic trainer, researcher, speaker, coach, and consultant. She’s a recognized expert in teaching and training listening. She uses her MBA and PhD in Communication to help coaches Listen Well, Hear More, and Change Lives. As a listening researcher herself for over 20 years, she is familiar with listening research from many disciplines and uses it liberally in her work. Her approach to communication is practical and other-centered. 

She is a past president of the International Listening Association, and she is published both nationally and internationally. You’ll find her research and ideas cited in publications including Forbes, Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, and US News and World Report, as well as Choice – The Magazine for Coaches

Laura has worked with hundreds of coaches and loves helping them transform their clients. Laura is an ICF educator with many accredited courses and programs.
