Community of Practice: Emotion in Coaching
In our inaugural Community of Practice event, we’ll explore emotions in coaching. What is emotion? How willing are you to go deep with your clients when they get emotional? How ‘what we can’t be with’ impacts our coaching. How do we manage our emotions during coaching sessions? Join us as we dive into the emotions of coaching.
THE ICF EDMONTON COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE
In the spirit of building and supporting our local coaching community, ICF Edmonton has launched a community of practice that will support the professional development of our membership. A community of practice (CP) is a group of individuals with a shared interest in a topic (in this case, coaching) and a desire to advance their professional development, deepen their subject-matter expertise, share best practices, and discuss emerging trends, tools and tips.
These informal and organic conversations are steered by a volunteer leader who helps facilitate the learning and organizes the conversations, ideas, and trends that emerge from the group. CPs are designed to promote active participation from their members – sharing and discussion is always encouraged. All are welcome!
Outgoing, two-term board member, Lisa Shepert, PCC, CPCC, will lead and coordinate the inaugural year of the ICF Edmonton Chapter CP.
Cost: $10 for ICF Edmonton members
